Adult Class Ages 15+
Adult Class (Ages 15+)
The Adult (All Ranks) Class is for students aged 15 years and up.
Begin Taekwon-Do at any age and receive huge benefits such as practical self-defence, community, fitness, and provincial, national, and international opportunities to compete and demonstrate your skills.
What to Expect
With age comes an understanding of your capabilities, however, you’ve never trained in TKD so you may have no idea what you’re really capable of. Classes provide authentic instruction in the traditional art of KTD using the original curriculum created by the Founder General Choi Hong Hi.
You can expect more than a fitness class as TKD challenges not only your body but also your mind. You will find with consistent training an increase in your flexibility, strength, confidence, as well as practical self defense.
The only limit to how far you can go is how hard you are willing to train. Sabum’s father returned to TKD at age 40, after taking time off during Sabum’s early childhood, and attained the rank of 7th degree Master at the age of 69. He, like many of our current students, compete and advance well into their 50’s, finding that their strengths, although different, are comparable to those that are 30 years their junior.
There is also a healthy amount of competition between our fully fledged adults and our late teen/early 20’s students. This creates a mutually respectful and fun environment where the younger and older students push each other to be the best they can be.
Like all our other classes, this class is neurodivergent accommodating. Whether you are diagnosed, undiagnosed, or suspected, all brains are welcome and encouraged to advocate for their particular needs.
