Junior Class Ages 8-14
Juniors Class (Ages 8-14)
Our 8 – 14-year-olds Juniors class is more structured than the Hamsters class but, extremely active, to teach the fundamentals in an engaging way. This class prepares students for provincial events with the opportunity to attend national and international events.
What to Expect
This class still maintains a fun and active environment with a higher emphasis on the discipline and respect needed to advance in Taekwon-Do. These classes are neurodivergent accessible, making sure all students are supported and can reach their full potential.
Montaño TKD uses the tenants of Taekwon-Do to structure how our classes are run, specifically maintaining courtesy; going out of your way to make others around you comfortable, and communicating to others when you are uncomfortable. This creates an environment of mutual respect and teaches our neurodivergent students how to advocate for themselves identifying needs that may not be obvious to others. All students gain the compassion and integrity to lookout for each other furthering our school moto “Building a more peaceful world.”
Students are expected to train regularly, do their best during classes, and learn respect for their seniors and instructors.
This class teaches students how to manage their time so they can meet the requirements of Taekwon-Do while building confidence and succeeding at school. Students will be asked to work hard and learn just how much they are capable of.
